In honor of women’s history month, more than a dozen women from the Broadway and NY Theatre community came together to perform “I Won’t Keep Quiet” by MILCK . This anthem is “dedicated to celebrating our unique voices and identities, in an effort to break the cycles of oppression of women everywhere.”
Performers include Teal Wicks (Finding Neverland, Wicked), Samantha Hill (Phantom of the Opera), Erika Henningsen (Les Miserables), Jenny Rose Baker (Fiddler on the Roof), Julie Benko (Fiddler on the Roof), Christina Sajous (Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark), Stephanie Lynn Mason (Fiddler on the Roof), Beth Kirkpatrick (Les Miserables), Siri Howard, (Les Miserables), Katrina Day, Katie Emerson, Stephanie Israelson, Sarah Krauss, Chelsea Meredith, Eileen Patterson, Hannah Solow, Sara Tazari, and Andromeda Turre.
The video was recorded at Big Orange Sheep, filmed by Steve Ujfalussy, and produced by Sarah Krauss of Artists for Action, a non-profit committed to helping progressive artists in NYC take concrete steps towards fighting injustice.
“We came together to add our voice to the growing chorus of people speaking up and speaking out. We hope this video encourages you to do the same.”
