In this entertaining and inspiring 3-minute documentary, Nicolas Bori, a filmmaker from Buenos Aires, Argentina, introduces us to Masumi, a woman who worked as a secondary school teacher in Switzerland until one day she decided to do something different. Her new job? Driving a 14 ton overlanding truck clear across South America as part of a two-woman crew… to “the surprise and confusion of many locals.”
Bori’s “Masumi – The Girl behind the Truck” is an entry in the World Nomads Film Scholarship 2017.
“I think most people in the world they still believe that this job is made for men. But it’s not true. I think all the girls can do this job as well. It’s possible and it’s fun.” – Masumi
