Based on New York Times bestselling author Alexandra Bracken’s novel of the same name, The Darkest Minds is set to hit the big screen on August 3, 2018. Directed by Academy Award nominee Jennifer Yuh Nelson, who is credited with being the first woman to solely direct an animated feature from a major Hollywood studio, the film stars Amandla Stenberg (“The Hunger Games”), Mandy Moore (“This Is Us”) and Gwendoline Christie (“Game Of Thrones”).

When teens mysteriously develop powerful new abilities, they are declared a threat by the government and detained. Sixteen-year-old Ruby, one of the most powerful young people anyone has encountered, escapes her camp and joins a group of runaway teens seeking safe haven.
