England is leading the way when it comes to marketing sport to women. Last year we featured the This Girl Can campaign, which was developed by Sport England to encourage women to be more active. And now, England Rugby has released Rugby Women, an awesome video (click above) featuring a group of kick-ass women showing their confidence on the field.
According to England Rugby, what was once considered just a “lads” game has been growing in popularity among the female population. This video is the first step in a campaign working towards getting 10,000 more women and girls playing contact rugby by 2017.
“We want all women and girls to have the opportunity to fulfill their potential on and off the pitch as players, coaches, referees and volunteers.”
