Raphael Langumier, a flight test instructor and aerobatic pilot in Quebec, has accumulated more than 8,000 flight hours in more than 60 types of aircraft, since his first flight in 1991. So when his 4-year-old daughter Lea asked him to take her on her first aerobatic flight, and “do inverted things,” dad obliged and gave her the time of her life.
After their initial ascent, the fun starts at around the 1:00 mark in the video. Lea’s reaction is pure joy and her laugh is simply infectious.

Dads Who Encourage Their Daughters To Soar
When asked what he did to his daughter to make her so outspoken, defiant and strong willed, Ziauddin Yousafzai, father of Malala Yousafzai, prefers to explain what he did NOT do to his daughter to answer that question, replying, “I did not clip the wings of my daughter to fly.”
So here’s to all the awesome dads out there, like Raphael and Ziauddin, who encourage their daughters to soar. Happy Father’s Day to all!
