The one month countdown is officially on to Homeland Season 6, which premieres on Sunday, January 15 at 9PM ET/PT, and we are so excited.

Here’s the quick breakdown of what’s to come this season, as reported by Deadline

“After she thwarts a terrorist attack in Berlin, season six picks up several months later and finds Carrie Mathison (Claire Danes) living in Brooklyn, New York. She has begun working at a foundation whose efforts are to provide aid to Muslims living in the U.S. Season six will tackle the after effects of the U.S. presidential election, with the entire season taking place between election day and the inauguration of the President-elect (Elizabeth Marvel). At the end of the trailer, whatever questions that may have lingered about Quinn (Rupert Friend) and last season’s cliffhanger are answered when we hear his voice (“What happened?”). Mandy Patinkin, and F. Murray Abraham also star. Guest stars this season include Hill Harper (Limitless), Robert Knepper (Prison Break), Patrick Sabongui (The Flash), Jake Weber (Medium) and Dominic Fumusa (Nurse Jackie).”
