In March 2013, we introduced you to then 94-year-old Tao Porchon-Lynch, a yoga master, competitive ballroom dancer, and one of the most inspiring women we have ever had the privilege to profile. At age 96, Tao wowed national TV audiences when she competed on Season 12 of America’s Got Talent with and her 26-year-old dance partner. Now 98, Tao, the world’s oldest yogi with 75 years of teaching behind her, is sharing some of her powerfully positive wisdom (and enviable yoga poses).

“When I was 8 years old I saw some boys doing what I thought was a new game, and I was told by my aunt, ‘no, that’s yoga and it’s not ladylike.'”

This video, released Monday, is part of Athleta’s Power of She movement, an oh-so-WYSKy initiative we are huge fans of that “invites women and girls to lift each other up, and together, realize our limitless potential.” It features Tao along with Dr. Terri Kennedy, a yoga & meditation teacher. The two met in a yoga class, and now “travel the world together to inspire and impact the lives of women across the globe. Alone they shine, but together they light up the world.”
