Gillian Flynn declared the book, “Astounding. Thrilling. Amazing.” Stephen King said it was, “Unputdownable.” Ruth Ware called it, “A dark, twisty confection.” Now A.J. Finn’s The Woman In The Window, one of our favorite page-turning reads of 2018, is headed to the big screen this May with the always brilliant Amy Adams in the lead role, supported by a stellar ensemble cast. Watch the official film trailer above.

The Tracy Letts’ written screenplay, based on Finn’s best-selling novel, is “a psychological suspense thriller” about Anna Fox (Amy Adams), an agoraphobic child psychologist who befriends a neighbor across the street from her New York City brownstone, “only to see her own life turned upside down when the woman disappears and she suspects foul play.”

Along with Adams, “The Woman in the Window” film stars Gary Oldman, Anthony Mackie, Wyatt Russell, Brian Tyree Henry, Jennifer Jason Leigh and Julianne Moore. Together they bring A.J. Finn’s gripping story to life, “where shocking secrets are revealed, and no one—and nothing—is what it seems.”

“The Woman in the Window” from 20th Century Fox opens in U.S. theaters May 15, 2020.
